Nearly Five Decades
of Opening Doors

For 47 years, Multicultural Career Intern Program has stood at the intersection of ambition and opportunity — guiding college-bound seniors from Washington’s most diverse communities toward futures that once felt out of reach.

Each May, our College Scholarship Gala convenes the civic, diplomatic, and philanthropic leaders whose generosity makes that work possible. It is an evening of recognition, solidarity, and forward motion.

This year, we gather at the Embassy of France in Washington, D.C. — a venue befitting the ambition and the accomplishment we celebrate.

“Built Between Worlds. Bold Enough to Be Heard.”

Our 2026 theme, The Crossing: Voices Unbound, honors the courage it takes to move — across borders, across generations, across the limits others set. It is the story of our students. It is the story of Washington itself.

Join us in honoring the voices that refuse to be quiet, and the crossings that made them possible.

An extraordinary night at the Embassy of France — Washington’s most distinguished setting for a gala equal parts celebration and transformation. A gathering of civic, diplomatic, and business leadership uniting in a Circle of Giving to champion the city’s most promising young scholars.
